After Your Treatment
Skin Booster Aftercare & Recovery
A calm, complete guide to caring for your skin — what's normal, what's not, and how your glow builds over the weeks ahead.
Your Seventy Hyal 2000 skin booster works by delivering hyaluronic acid deep into the skin, where it draws in moisture and gradually improves hydration, glow and skin quality. The little bumps you can see straight after are simply the product doing its job — they settle quickly.
Following this aftercare closely helps your skin heal cleanly, keeps the small risk of complications low, and gives you the loveliest possible result from your course.
What is completely normal?
In the first hours and days after treatment, it is completely normal to experience:
Normal & expected
- Small raised bumps or "blebs" at each injection point — these usually settle within 24–48 hours
- Mild swelling
- Redness
- Bruising at some injection points
- Tenderness or mild sensitivity
- A slightly firm or "full" feeling in the area
The little bumps are meant to be there. They are pockets of hydrating product that smooth out and absorb over the first day or two — please don't be alarmed by them, and try not to press or massage them unless we've specifically told you to.
Immediate aftercare — the first 24–48 hours
Please do
- Keep the area clean
- Gently cleanse with a mild cleanser & cool water
- Stay well hydrated
- Sleep on your back where possible if the face was treated
- Use a cool compress over clean skin if tender (never ice directly)
Please avoid
- Touching, rubbing or picking the area
- Make-up over the injection points for about 12–24 hours
- Massaging or pressing the bumps (unless told to)
- Heat — sauna, steam, hot showers, sunbeds
- Strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours
- Alcohol for 24–48 hours
Keeping the injection points clean and untouched while they close over reduces the small risk of infection.
Skincare & sun protection
For the first few days use only
- A gentle cleanser
- A simple, soothing moisturiser
- SPF 50
Avoid for a few days
- Retinol & tretinoin
- Exfoliating acids (glycolic, salicylic)
- Strong active ingredients
- Scrubs & exfoliation
These can be reintroduced gradually once your skin is calm and settled.
Sun protection — daily SPF 50 is essential
- No sunbeds
- No excessive sun exposure
- Protect the treated area while it settles
Heat, exercise & other treatments
Avoid for 24–48 hours
- Sauna, steam rooms & hot yoga
- Very hot showers & baths
- Strenuous exercise & the gym
- Sunbeds & excessive heat
Avoid for about 2 weeks
- Facials & aggressive facials
- Chemical peels
- Laser or IPL
- Microneedling
- Other injectables in the same area
Why: heat and vigorous exercise increase blood flow and swelling early on, and other treatments can disturb the settling product and irritate healing skin.
Your result & healing timeline
| Time | What you may notice |
| Day 1 | Small bumps, mild redness, possible swelling or bruising |
| 24–48 hours | Injection bumps settle & smooth out |
| Days 3–7 | Any bruising fades; skin feels more comfortable |
| Week 2–4 | Hydration, glow & smoothness become visible |
| Across your course | Skin quality builds with each session |
| 3–6 months | Results gradually soften — time for maintenance |
A guide only — everyone heals and responds at their own pace.
Your next session & review
Skin boosters work best as a course. Your next session is usually booked 2–4 weeks after this one, to build and layer the hydration and skin-quality improvement.
What to expect next
- A short course of 2–3 sessions in total, 2–4 weeks apart
- Then a maintenance session every 3–6 months
- We'll check how your skin has responded at each visit
If you're ever unsure whether something is healing normally, we would always rather hear from you than have you worry at home.
